TOPIC .  퇴근 (GET  OFF WORK)

Talk about getting off work.

I nomally get off work around six or seven. There are times when i get off late. I have to work after-hours from time to time. It commonly happens especially at the end of every month when we're wrapping things up for the

month. Traffic gets pretty bad when i get off work. It  can take forever when i get stuck in traffic. So i nomally

take the subway to avoid rush hour traffic. We do have staff dinners off and on. Staff dinners end late at night at

times. The subway or the bus stops running. In that case, I have no choice but to cap it home.

VOCABULARY

get off work. 퇴근하다

There are times when. 가끔 ~ 할 때가 있다.

TOPIC .  결혼준비 (WEDDING PREOARATIONS)

Talk about  what you had to do to prepare for your wedding.

I remember having to do so many things for our wedding. My husband and I got help from a wedding planner.

She helped us make arrangements for our wedding. We first had to book a wedding hall. We looked at

several boutiques to try on our wedding gowns. We also had our pictures taken for the wedding album. After that,

we sent out the wedding invitations. Plus, we also had to get an MC and an officiator from the wedding. Last of all, we had to make plans for the honeymoon. On the day of the wedding, everyting went by so fast.

VOCABULARY

TOPIC .  블랙박스(Black box)

Talk about black boxes for cars.

Many Koreans drivers install black boxes on their dashboards these days. There device capture everything

when people are driving. They shoot footage even when the car is parked. People can download the footage

from the black boxes later on. Drivers can find out what exactly happened to their cars looking at the footage.

Black boxes are helpful in solving accidents. It's easy to spot  video clips shop by these devices on the internet.

We also see these footages on the news from time to time. Black boxes for cars have become pretty common in Korea. Their price have gone down a lot as well.

There are so many security cameras all around these days. They are in elevators, parking lots, stores, subway

stations and on the streets. There are practically everywhere. Surveillance cameras serve an important

purpose. They help keep an eye on traffic flows and what is going on at certain locations. Plus, They help to

prevent crime. They can also help solve crime. The camera footage is sometimes very important in solving a

case. However, because there are so many cameras, some people feel as if their privacy is being violated. But there's always a price to pay to be safe.
